Hi there! It was a bit silent on Surrounded by Charms lately, sorry about that but it was for a reason.
All the things to handle
As always, the new year for me meant lots of aspirations, hard work, and dedication. For the past couple of years, writing this blog was a pretty important part of all that. However, this year I’m feeling like it’s already inseparable part of me. Something I simply do because of all the joy it gives me. It’s not something I need to push myself to work on. Well, but there were some other things I tried my best to work on.
One of them was my Master thesis. One-third of my studies already passed and I can’t believe it. On one hand, it felt ages, but on the other hand, when I look back at it right now, it feels like a month. Well, and last week I had to represent and defend the first part of my thesis. And I had to finish it first. And it was truly difficult. Lots of coffee and tea, late evenings and me reading articles, trying to put them in one good enough piece about… Influencer marketing. Yup, that’s what I’m writing my thesis about. And I did it eventually. Now, this part is all done and I’m ready for the new semester.
Also, writing the thesis made me learn more about the Tik Tik – shame on me I had very little knowledge of how it worked and now I even created an account on there, maybe the day will come for something funny to show you.
Little but serious
Also, I was busy including small but important things in my daily life. Such as? Well, like working out at the gym three times per week, finding time to cook (sometimes tasty) meals, reading books, and finally making videos of the clips I took when traveling in Italy. Not all of that went as smoothly as I imagined but that’s not the goal. The goal I’m seeking is to live a happy and joyful life. It includes taking care of my body and soul as well as fulfilling my dreams. A combination of all tiny bits of this is the perfect imperfection I’m incredibly happy about.
Is it a writing vacay?
In the middle of all of that, I got an email from one of the writing programs I use asking if I took a writing vacation. How the heck… Or… That’s exactly what I’m on right now!
I was writing so much lately that for sure my fingertips, mind and the keyboard of my beloved laptop needed to rest a little bit. And it’s been eleven days since the last time I wrote anything more than an email (from them I simply can’t escape). I know, for some eleven days might seem normal but for me, it’s damn long!
Shh…
There are two more things I really want to tell you about but I, and you, my friend, need to be patient with them. One of them is almost ready to be announced (or if you’re very impatient, check out the social media buttons on the top menu of the blog, there’s one, hm hm, for the videos…). Well, and another one needs to wait a little bit longer to be announced but I’m already working on that as well and couldn’t be more excited about it.
I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s a lot of things to handle. I’m still getting used to that but I believe it’s all possible.
And the getaway
At the end of all that, or should I say, the cherry on top of this cupcake of life, we had a short weekend getaway to Tallin, Estonia. We left the evening of my Master thesis defense, on Thursday evening, and got back last night, on late Sunday evening. Honestly, this trip didn’t feel like something very exciting because I didn’t have enough time to plan everything. But even changing the location, having enough sleep and being with my other half while wondering the streets of Tallinn was exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries and get back on track.
And that’s what I’ve been up to lately. Doing this and that, working on my to-do lists and catching up on Sabrina before the new series was released (almost done with that). Life can be nuts but everything is possible!
Oh, and I also got a new haircut!
