I don’t know about you but my head is always full of ideas and dreams that I want to happen someday. However, only dreaming is not enough. We must act if we truly want to make those things happen. So this is what this post is about. It’s about making things happen.
It Starts With Dreaming
We, human beings, are such creatures that always have a lot of dreams on their mind, ain’t I right? Well, no matter how many dreams and wishes come to your mind, some of them last a moment and others stick with us. By day-dreaming, we not simply dream, we plan, we think, and we also make decisions. And when some of those dreams don’t leave us, we turn them into goals and decide to take necessary actions to make them come true.
The State of Planning
When it comes to making dreams come true, planning is one of the most important parts. If done well, it will help you make your dreams reality sooner but if the planning is done poorly, then you might never achieve your goal.
Planning couldn’t be done without one simple but significant tool. A notebook. It helps a lot to clarify your idea and have all the tiny details kept in one place. When I’m working on my dreams coming true, I always write down insights, obstacles, deadlines and all the other important things that affect the journey of seeking my dream.
Also, any notebook can be helpful but a well-made one will be irreplaceable. My favorite notebook is made of quality materials and has dots instead of lines on each page. I find it very convenient because I can concentrate only on the notes I’m taking instead of seeing those lines. Besides, on the bottom of each page is a quote written. They’re picked very well and always inspires me to aim for more and to put all my efforts of what I’m doing.
So, when making a plan of how to make your dreams come true, it’s great to have a long-term and a short-term plan. This way you always know what to expect next and where exactly you’re going. In case you’d like to learn more about making those plans, I highly recommend you read two posts I’ve written some time ago, one about long-term planning and another one about short-term planning.
Making Things Happen
Well, and the final stage of achieving your goals is actually making things happen. If you took some time and worked on long-term and short-term planning, it will be easy to start. You already know very well what step is the first one. Always do your best to stick to the plan, do shortcuts when possible and take some extra time when it’s needed but never leave your path. Also, keep your plan handy, you want to always be in the know of what’s waiting for you around the corner. Well, and if you’ll have a notebook with inspirational and motivational quotes your journey will be much easier and fun.
Working on our dreams and making things happen is wonderful. It’s what life is about. Only to dreams is not enough, necessary actions must be taken in order to move things forward and make them happen. So take a notebook, craft a plan and start working!
